Schott at BARNEYS - Limited Edition One Star Collection

I wore my leather jacket today i've had it for four years now I really like it. Its more of a new school biker style jacket which I like alot. But I have wanted an old school biker jacket like this for a while now. Too bad it probably cost like $2,000 easy!

"Schott's iconic Perfecto leather motorcycle jacket (named after Irving Schott’s favorite cut of cigar) had its more than fair share of celebrity appearances through its many many years of existence. Dee Dee Ramone rocked out with it at CBGB, Marlon Brando went wild with it on The Wild One and Bruce Springsteen would not have been Born To Run the same way without it. However since freshly bought Schott jackets are so stylistically and literally tough that in Jason Schott’s words, they “literally stand on their own”, to achieve the worn-in, gorgeous supple softness either takes a good dose of patience in wearing or hunting for one.
To resolve this sartorial dilemma for leather, Schott and Barneys have collaborated to create the perfect limited edition number based on the iconic Perfecto. While the new One Star retains the snugness of the Perfecto, it streamlines some qualities and make the jacket relevant for the modern man. Think removing padded shoulders and built-in slacks in the elbows, since most guys today don’t really spend a large chunk of their time on the bike. The One Star version comes in two colorways, original black horse hide and a rare brown cow hide. As Schotts are known for their undying dedication to authenticity, the brown version wasn’t made until Schott chanced upon an old brown Perfecto jacket on the streets in Ohio, which he promptly traded for with a new jacket and reproduced everything down to the very last detail. The jackets are now available for purchase at BARNEYS and will possibly be the best jacket ever bought for at least the next thirty years."

Yeah I think I could rock this for awhile....

Amazing Billboards!

I don't know how most people feel about it but I think that billboards destroy nature and the landscape of a community. However, if all billboards were creative like this you know works of art then I think i'd be alright with them. All of these are crazy and involve so much area and things..are the cars part of it or are they just painted on now?

Vestax - Spin & DJ 3.0 Bundle

Turn your Mac into a full-blow DJ system by adding Vestax Spin to your computer and tapping into your iTunes Library. The Vestax Spin & DJ 3.0 Bundle is a set of hardware and software package which enables one to enjoy the full DJ experience on your computer. The Spin is a set of turntables and mixer that allows one to scratch, blend, mix and bend your tunes a la a professional DJ. Other than the standard turntable and mixer, Spin also comes with a touch sensor jog wheel which gives the user a high resolution analog feel when scratching and mixing; a multi-audio channel system for high quality monitoring. Of course, with the system, the user can save his or her creation easily onto the computer. I think this would be a great start and set up for me to get into DJing! I want this bad...

DJ AM Sneaker Auction + Video

We truly lost a great artiest and sneaker head with the passing of DJ AM. In the memory of DJ AM, who unexpectedly passed away this Summer, online auctioneer eBay, DECKSTAR, and UNDFTD are hosting a special sneaker auction event to help raise money for DJ AM Memorial Fund, a foundation setup to assist those struggling through dependency and addiction. On the docket is DJ AM’s personal sneaker collection, a 10-year venture now numbered around 900+ pairs, with numerous rare and highly sought after editions. The Yeezy's are already at $900 plus...

On a side note My boy T-Ray put me on to this video a couple of days ago. This just so happens to be the show Travis and DJ AM were playing before their plane crash. At the five minute point you get some good old 311 mixed by the late great DJ AM.

Nike Magma AC QS - Gum Med Brown

Nike once again adds a vulcanized sole to an iconic and classic shoe. The Nike Magma was one of the first shoes to come out of the Nike ACG line back in the late 1980’s and early 1990’s and now Nike has fused it together with a vulcanized Blazer outsole while keeping the colorway of the shoe similar to that of the original Nike Air Magma. They are suppose to hit NIke Sportswear retailers in the next couple of weeks. I think they look fresh for the upcoming winter months.

Grown Ups

I've been posting alot of videos and not really writing anything recently but hey heres another one. This movie looks great it's pretty much that classic 90's cast of SNL plus Kevin James it looks really funny I can only imagine if Chris Farley was still alive he'd be playing Jame's role.

The Heist Series

I came across these images on the Adventures in Space blog. At first sight I thought these were just pretty fresh pictures of each city. On further research I found out they are mixes by different artist representing the sounds of 23 different cities and areas. I would def suggest checking them out there are some great artist like David Holmes, Qunicy Jones, Beastie Boys, & Piero Umiliani. I was a little disappointed that there was no ATL section but I guess I can forgive em since the others are good. Check em out HERE

U2 feat. Jay-Z EMA 09

These are two of my favorite artist. I have seen U2 twice in concert in fact they were my first concert and I grew up with their music. Jay-Z was the first cd I bought (Hard Knock Life Vol 2). So it goes without saying I was excited to see that these two performed, and one of my favorite U2 songs sunday bloody sunday! However, I don't know if this really was that good. I feel like they didn't rehearse it at all or Jay-Z had never heard the song before and didn't really know how it went? Either way check it out and see what you think. Together is still a cool concept...

Song of The Day: Make My Day Common Feat. Cee-Lo

Common held a contest for people to make this video for him. All he gave them was the little footage of him standing in front of a green screen and rapping the song. I like def like this he picked a good one. I believe the use of the words is called kinetic typography and it is pretty damn cool.

baby girl im a man
and we can do this my way
take a ride on the highway and pretend like its friday and it is

She Came Along Sharam feat. Kid Cudi

This song was on a Kid Cudi Mixtape Dat Kid From Cleveland. It's a good song, but this video makes it even better! I love that little kid being Kid Cudi its so funny. The video concept is a simple western plot but with a twist. It's dope...

LOVE

This movie looks pretty amazing for apparently being made by a band!
Watch the trailer HERE

After losing contact with Earth, Astronaut LEE MILLER becomes stranded in orbit alone aboard the International Space Station. As time passes and life support systems dwindle, Lee battles to maintain his sanity - and simply stay alive. His world is a claustrophobic and lonely existence, until he makes a strange discovery aboard the ship. Driven by the powerful music of ANGELS & AIRWAVES, “LOVE” explores the fundamental human need for connection and the limitless power of hope… A high-impact visual adventure, that resonates a common truth, that everyone has a story to tell and something even greater to leave behind.
