Song of the Day: Kid Cudi feat Kanye West & Common "I Poke Her Face"

This is a badass song.  I didn't know that this was a specific Lady Gaga song.  But I mean it makes an awesome sample hook for this song.  Great verses by all on this too!  Check it out...

She said she want whatever she like
She said she gone’ bring her friend
Now we gone’ have a hell of a night
Through the day
I made her say
Hold up, born in 88′
How old is that? Old enough
I got seniority with the sorority
So, that explain why I love college
Gettin’ brain in the library cause I love knowledge
When you use your Medulla Oblongata
And give me scoliosis until I comatoses
And do it while I sleep yeah a little osmosis
And that’s my commitment you ain’t gotta ask Moses
More champagne more toast’es
More damn planes, more coast’es
And f##k a bus, the Benz is parked like Rosa

Song of the Day: Kanye West Feat. Lupe Fiasco "Touch The Sky"

Almost summer time and I feel on top of the world.  I am about to have a lot going on in the upcoming months so its best just to look at things in a positive light. "stay positive and love your life".  This video is a lil confusing to me does he die at the end?  Weird.

I felt like Bad Boy's street team, I couldn't work the Locks

Lupe's got some good lines in this one too...
Bottle-shaped body like Mrs. Butterworth's.

Nike Auto Flight: Black & Infared

A new Nike hybrid will be released this upcoming Holiday 2009 season and it’s not your usual hybrid that fuses some of Nike’s newest technology on one of their older models, such as the Air Max 90 Current or Lunar Mariah, instead this hybrid is actually of the Nike Flight Lite High and a Blazer. Nike’s Auto Flight uses the Flight Lite High upper and blends it together with a Blazer vulcanized outsole, making the shoe a bit lighter and a lot more casual to wear. This first colorway of Black and Infared will be released this Holiday 2009 season at select Nike retailers.  I know i'd get em as a present...

10 Reasons Not to Skimp on Sleep

I am glad I got maybe 4 hours of sleep last nite.  Time to hit that nap up...

1) Less may mean more. For people who sleep under seven hours a night, the fewer zzzz’s they get, the more obese they tend to be, according to a 2006 Institute of Medicine report. This may relate to the discovery that insufficient sleep appears to tip hunger hormones out of whack. Leptin, which suppresses appetite, is lowered; ghrelin, which stimulates appetite, gets a boost.

2) You’re more apt to make bad food choices. A study published this week in the Journal of Clinical Sleep Medicine found that people with obstructive sleep apnea or other severely disordered breathing while asleep ate a diet higher in cholesterol, protein, total fat, and total saturated fat. Women were especially affected.

3) Diabetes and impaired glucose tolerance, its precursor, may become more likely. A 2005 study published in the Archives of Internal Medicine found that people getting five or fewer hours of sleep each night were 2.5 times more likely to be diabetic, while those with six hours or fewer were 1.7 times more likely.

4) The ticker is put at risk. A 2003 study found that heart attacks were 45 percent more likely in women who slept for five or fewer hours per night than in those who got more.

5) Blood pressure may increase. Obstructive sleep apnea, for example, has been associated with chronically elevated daytime blood pressure, and the more severe the disorder, the more significant the hypertension, suggests the 2006 IOM report. Obesity plays a role in both disorders, so losing weight can ease associated health risks.

6) Auto accidents rise. As stated in a 2007 report in the New England Journal of Medicine, nearly 20 percent of serious car crash injuries involve a sleepy driver—and that’s independent of alcohol use.

7) Balance is off. Older folks who have trouble getting to sleep, who wake up at night, or aredrowsy during the day could be 2 to 4.5 times more likely to sustain a fall, found a 2007 study in the Journal of Gerontology.

8) You may be more prone to depression. Adults who chronically operate on fumes report more mental distress, depression, and alcohol use. Adolescents suffer, too: One survey of high school students found similarly high rates of these issues. Middle schoolers, too, report more symptoms of depression and lower self-esteem.

9) Kids may suffer more behavior problems. Research from an April issue of the Archives of Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine found that children who are plagued by insomnia, short duration of sleeping, or disordered breathing with obesity, for example, are more likely to have behavioral issues like attention deficit hyperactivity disorder.

10) Death’s doorstep may be nearer. Those who get five hours or less per night have approximately 15 percent greater risk of dying—regardless of the cause—according to three large population-based studies published in the journals Sleep and the Archives of GeneralPsychiatry

De La Soul To Produce Record With Nike

Legendary Hip-Hop Trio Works Creatively With Nike for New SportMusic Release.
For their first collection of new material in half a decade, legendary hip-hop trio De La Soul chose to work with Nike instead of a Big Four record label or even an indie. For their new 44-minute workout LP, "Are You in?: Nike+ Original Run," arriving in the iTunes Store tomorrow, the 20-year music veterans said they were never looking for a brand to support them; they merely found a generous partner who also wanted to be a creative collaborator. Or vice versa.

Kanye "Amazing" Video 106 & Park Interview

So here is Kanye's new video for "Amazing".  It was shot in Hawaii by Hype Williams and it is pretty damn sick... At the end of the video is an interview on 106 & park pretty good.  Funny how Kanye tries to keep his ego in but can't.  People don't like it but it's just the truth everyone thinks they are the best. They just don't say it.

Paper Heart

In Theaters: August 7, 2009
Check out the trailer HERE.

This movie looks good. It goes from a documentary into a story about love...very indie friendly.

Charlyne Yi does not believe in love. Or so she says. Well, at the very least, she doesn’t believe in fairy-tale love or the Hollywood mythology of love, and her own experiences have turned her into yet another modern-day skeptic. PAPER HEART follows Charlyne as she embarks on a quest across America to make a documentary about the one subject she doesn’t fully understand. As she and her good friend (and director) Nicholas search for answers and advice about love, Charlyne talks with friends and strangers, scientists, bikers, romance novelists, and children. They each offer diverse views on modern romance, as well as various answers to the age-old question: does true love really exist? Then, shortly after filming begins, Charlyne meets a boy after her own heart: Michael Cera. As their relationship develops on camera, her pursuit to discover the nature of love takes on a fresh new urgency. Charlyne risks losing the person she finds closest to her heart. Combining elements of documentary and traditional storytelling, reality and fantasy, PAPER HEART brings a fresh perspective to the modern romance and redefines the classic love story.

Striking beige, purple, blue, red and navy are choices on offer and the hat color is matched perfectly with carefully selected band that adds more flavor.  These hats are currently only available at the Japanese select store Journal Standard.  Which sucks cause i'd rock the shit out of em if you could buy em in America...
