Danger Mouse & Daniele Luppi “Rome” Trailer

Here in Athens Danger Mouse is what you would call a success story of sorts. He did drop out of the Journalism school but hey now he is mixing Jay-Z with the Beatles and backing up Cee-Lo Green doing production for The Black Keys, Broken Bells,  Danger Doom and Beck.  This right here is his passion project with Italian composer Daniele Luppi called Rome. The fairly secretive project took five years to create songs inspired by their shared love of of classic Italian film scores from the 1960s. Capitol Records has confirmed a new US release date of May 17, 2011 for this collaborative effort and sent out a visual teaser that you can watch above.  I am a big big fan of that genre of music as well so I am really excited about this project!
