Nike basketball MVP’s Kobe & Lebron: Car Jump

So it's not going to be Kobe Lebron in the finals.  Now America doesn't get to see the match up they've wanted all year long.  I am pissed the Magic beat Lebron, but they better beat Lakers too.  Kobe doesn't need anymore rings...This commercial is good its going on the old Kobe jumping the car commercial.

Yo I hate Kobe Bryant all the Kobe fans out there don't get it.  But I like so many players that are his rivals.  So just look at it like you can't be a Red Sox fan and like the Yankees or a Braves fan and like the Mets it's just not possible. But these videos of him jumping are the shit.  I thought the Aston Martian jump was badass till I saw the video that shows its fake.  The over the snake pool dunk looks like some superman shit.  Cause we all know the real superman is not 6 11'.

I've seen a video that proves this is fake and that the car is really a foot to his side.

These are pictures of the new Perrier Melt Everything Ad Campaign.  I never have liked the taste of Perrier but I think this is a cool campaign idea for the summer time.

The World Is Yours: Lawrence Watson

I wish I could be in London to check out this show. But I guess the book will be good enough. I love the title of the book and show. Straight Nas the world is yours...

British photographer Lawrence Watson had been deemed “one of the most talented yet humble photographers” UK had ever seen, perhaps because of his humble roots. Watson grew up in Hammersmith, London, and said that his experience in art stemmed from tracing images off the projector in school because his teacher let the students cheat. Watson had been photographing musicians since the 80s and his portfolio covers the likes of Oasis, David Bowie and Snoop Dog. Watson’s photographs carry a vibrantly faded feel and capture interesting auras of various musicians, synergizing seamlessly with the setting.

The exhibition, The World Is Yours, is a selection of photographs from Watson’s forthcoming book of the same title. The show opens this coming Saturday, May 30, and will run though Sunday, Jun 7, at the LondonNewcastle Project Space. The admission is free, so those who happen in to be in town should definitely go show some love for the local lad, give the floppy haired man a pat on the back and let him know how great his work is. Because, he really doesn’t know.

Deluxe Fall/ Winter 09 Collection

All the pieces in this collection are dope.  From the glasses to the hats the shirts and jackets. I'd want them all.  Deluxe is poppin off fresh gear in 09...it's probably all ridic prices.

Wale: MixTape About Nothing

So I am pretty sure that this is not a new mixtape by any means. But I just found it the other day and thought it was a dope cover and tittle  hittin on the Seinfeld reference.  Those Jordan 4's look great next to the rest of em.  It's just funny to me.

A Kiss From Tokyo

This is a pretty damn cool animated movie trailer from the 60's.  It just seemed like everything back then was just a lil bit cooler then any other decade: the music, the dress, the way people just walked and talked.  It all reminds me of the rat pack.  It would've been cool times to live in fo sho.

One Minute Painting

This guy paints a badass painting in one minute. Ish looks dope...check it out.

Dr Dre On Dr Pepper

So this is a pretty good commercial for Dr Pepper with Dr Dre.  When he takes over the turntables. The song that comes on is the instrumental for "shit pops off" a new song that should be on his new album.  It has a great beat and sick hook.

Song of the Day : The Dream feat. Kanye West "Walking On The Moon"

So I've loved this song since Yay posted it on his blog a couple of months before Dreams album dropped.  Its just an up beat great song.  And now the video for it is pretty dope.  I love the millenium falcon up in the video...Kanye verse on it is so dope.

Ay ay dream Im too good at this
Uhh, uhh, uhh, I cant contain it
No, no, no I cant restrain it
Theres a lot of stars in here aint it
But you shine so much they dont seem famous
Whered you come from on this lonely night
I swear to god musta made lightnin strike
And bottled it up, it hit the red carpet and modeled it up
We hopped in the Ferrari and Pradaed it up
Now everybody clappin, they bravoed it up
All just because its more than a buzz
More than a drink, but I took a few sips
And let it do what it does, now drunk textin
Like its all about you, like I cant spend
Another minute without you
You know the drinks let you say things
You aint allowed to, things interfere
But youre way to proud to say it out loud
Cuz niggaz gonna clown you, put your black baby down
People is around you, Ill put my mag baby down
I aint tryin to hound you, just tryin to take you
Where the stars gonna surround you

And Uhmm, maybe ice down you,
And Uhmm, maybe wipe down you
And Uhmm, maybe we should talk about all this
After I pound you,
you know Im just playin with you,
I know a lot of people mad cuz they aint with you
Wait is it because we on the moon,
Tell em say that hey well be home soon

Converse Chuck Taylor Woolrich Pack

So i've been told I wear alot of plaid and flannel. I mean what can I say its a classic kind of shit and now one of the oldest sneaker companies, Converse hooked up with senior woolen mill, Woolrich to make these shoes. Both brands bring their signature styles to the design table, Converse with their vintage baskeball heritage and Woolrich designs with the same plaid fabric they have been using for over 175 years. Chuck Hi’s and lows in a wool/plaid upper weaved with waxed laces make for an innovative vintage collab.

Song of the Day :Kanye West "Paranoid"

So when 808's dropped this was and still is my favorite song off the album.  Kanye has a great verse, one of his only true old school rhyme schemes like people were use to.  It also was one of the only up beat songs on the entire album.  I just wanted the old Kanye out of 808's I still think it is a great album and by now most of the songs have grown on me.  I was just not in the same mood as Kanye was for it.  This video for Paranoid is pretty damn trippy.  Yay always has some drop innovative videos.  I know he strives to be on the cutting edge.  The casting of Rihanna is priceless.  I think Yay is trying to say something about the whole Chris Brown situation and or I mean she is just pretty and he thought she'd looked sexy in his video...

Cause I can make it good
I can make it hood
I can make you come
I can make you go

I can make it high,
I can make it fly
Make it touch the sky
Hey maybe so

Nike Sportswear Pop-Up Store - Canarinho Brazil

So my boy J. Kicks just got back from his study abroad trip to Brazil.  He got me a bad ass rasta color lil market place necklace that I am going to rock all summer long maybe forever depending on how long it stays alive...But what you are looking at here is a small view of the new Canarinho Nike Sportswear Pop-Up Store in Sao Paulo, Brazil. The store is located within the Gallery of Rock, downtown Brazil’s mecca of alternative culture. This new store gets its name from the bird that the Brazilian soccer athletes were given during the World Cup. As with other pop-up stores, plenty of local artists have their art featured, along with plenty of exclusive items only found in that location. A few of those items would include Nike Sportswear tees, Blazers, Dunk Lows, and other sneakers. In the colorful country of Brazil, a store of this nature only seems proper. Be sure to get a good look at some of the exclusive items after the jump.

Beastie Boys feat The Roots "So What'cha Want"

So two years ago I saw The Roots play and then The Beastie Boys follow them at Langerado, but them playing together is dope.  I wish Blackthought would've got on the song then it would've been unbelievable!

Katy Perry: Complex Magazine Spread

So this one time I was at the Loft in Athens getting crunk and dancing with E! And the DJ started playing I kissed a girl and I liked it...and I just felt like a girl should've been dancing with my girlfriend not me.  Totally emasculating to say the least.  But I must say I do enjoy singing that song in my high pitched voice because you know I have kissed a girl and I did like it...But on a shorter note these are some hot ass pictures of Katy Perry she is a smoking hotty.  I want to see her kiss a girl as long as I am involved with it!

Song of the Day: 311 "Amber"

So I know this is probably 311 most cheese song and most played out mainstream single by them.  But it is still a great song. How do you think it got so big. The video for it is great as well.  But I was just going through some songs to play along to on spadas drum set and I ame across this one.  Makes me miss my girl E! She is the greatest! Normally I try not to get that personal on here but I miss my girl it is going to be a long summer apart.  This song is for you E!

You live too far away
Your voice rings like a bell anyway
Don't give up your independence
unless it feels so right
Nothing good comes easily;
Sometimes you've got to fight

Whoa
Amber is the color of your energy
Whoa
Shades of gold displayed naturally

Launched a thousand ships in my heart, so easy
Still, it's fine from afar, and you know that

Whoa
Brainstorm
Take me away from the norm
Whoa
I've got to tell you something
