Inglourious Basterds Review
So I was really excited to see this movie. It was one of the movies this summer that I was looking forward to the most. I mean its the return of Tarantino & he is teaming up with Brad Pitt who is probably my favorite actor & they are killing nazis. I mean its got to be an amazing movie right? Wrong!
Overall I was disappointed with the film. Brad Pitt did an amazing job no question and it was fine directing and film work by Tarantino as you would always expect. He brings that classic filmmakers eye to a film. But it was not the film that was advertised. First off it's titled the Inglourious Basterds so your expecting to see a movie about some Inglourious Basterds not only that a movie with a lot BRAD PITT being an Inglourious Basterd. I mean look at the poster above Brad Pitt is a Basterd! Well let me go ahead and tell you if you are looking for a film that has BRAD PITT with a bunch of other basterds running around and brutally killing nazis for 2 hours and 30 minutes then you are going to be disappointed like me and the rest of America!
Here is the synopsis of the movie I got off line.
Elsewhere in Europe, Lieutenant Aldo Raine organizes a group of Jewish soldiers to engage in targeted acts of retribution. Known to their enemy as “The Basterds,” Raine’s squad joins German actress and undercover agent Bridget Von Hammersmark on a mission to take down the leaders of The Third Reich. Fates converge under a cinema marquee, where Shosanna is poised to carry out a revenge plan of her own…
I would say for the big time chunks of the movie and for at least 90 minutes of the 150 minute movie the top part of the synopsis is what you see. A female character Shosanna Dreyfus is on the screen and not BRAD PITT or his Basterds! Infact most of the cool scenes in the movie of action and killing and BRAD PITT are the ones you see in the trailer(which I hate when that happens). They don't really develop any of the Basterds or BRAD PITT's character the film just leaves you wanting more of the basterds. You don't even know why BRAD PITT has the narley scar on his neck... Like I said it was a good movie it had some really cool scenes in it. BRAD PITT'S character was cool as shit (and could have been in more of the movie if you ask me and probably the rest of the America) but overall it was just disappointing.

Jay-Z "The Blueprint 3" Tracklisting.
A couple of weeks ago I posted the album cover art for Jay-z' upcoming album The Blueprint 3. While here is the back with the tracklistings on it. Granted the only songs to be released are Run This Town and D.O.A. I think I can guess a couple songs that might be pretty good just by the title and featured artiest. Track 5 Empire State of Mind feat Alicia Keys sounds pretty good, Track 6 Real As It Gets Feat Young Jeezy should be pretty hard, Track 11 Already Home feat Kid Cudi is def going to have a fresh chorus, Track 12 Hate feat Kanye West is going to be dope come on, Track 14 So Ambitious feat Pharrell def has potential.
Lupe Fiasco On Lyrics
In the past two years Lupe Fiasco has quickly became one of my favorite hip-hop artiest. If you go all the way back to my first entry ever on my blog (and a big reason why I wanted to start the blog in the first place) you'll see he is ranked at number 3. He not only surrounds himself with talented hip-hop producers he is one himself. A big reason why he grew on me so quickly is his lyricism is perfected in my opinion he says things you don't hear many hip-hop artiest saying and he does it in his way.
In this interview at the Kennedy Center on July 7th 2009 he explains his opinion on the importance of lyrics. In the interview he mentions some of my favorite artiest. They are amazing acts like U2 & Michael Jackson and Nas & Mos Def in the hip-hop world. Check out what he has to say he is a smart man.

Nike ELNA Customized Dunk Lo & Hi
As a broadcast design project for Bezalel Academy of Art and Design, the Israel-base graphic designer ELNA created an mix medium short, intended to be a commercial for Nike Israel. Along with animated sequences, the short film also included live action shots of 3 pairs of Nike Dunk low & high, all customized by ELNA. In order to coordinate with the film’s animation, each of the Dunks were outfitted in bold strokes, playful shapes and vibrant colors. And with the help of DJ Markey Funk, included the sound samples taken from Hip-Hop stars describing their sneaker addiction… No words yet on whether the sneakers will be available for the general public...Of course I think the high-top dunks are the freshest, but it says they are womens so...

Kid Cudi Man On The Moon: The End Of Day Cover Art
KiD CuDi’s debut album, Man On the Moon: The End of Day, was recently pushed back from August 25th to September 15th because of various reasons including cover art issues. Well it seems those issues can be laid to rest as the Man On the Moon: The End of Day cover art has been revealed, the CD will feature a regular version and a Deluxe DVD version which will come with a separate cover. Hopefully people will get on some new Kid Cudi and I won't have to hear Day & Night non stop! Why is it that things become less good when everyone likes it?

THE IMAGINARIUM OF DOCTOR PARNASSUS
This movie looks pretty damn cool. The cast alone looks ridic Johnny Depp, Colin Farrell, Jude Law play the rest of Heath Ledgers role together. Plus it is one of Heath Ledgers last roles. I am sure its going to be nuts.

Hyperizers "Don't Criticize (Hyperize)"
This is a funny ass ad. Nike Basketball along with Footlocker have done it again with the Hyperizers made up of Fog Raw (Mo Williams), Velvet Hoop (Kevin Durant), Chief Blocka (Andre Iguodala), and Ice-O (Rashard Lewis). The Hyperizers first single, Don’t Criticize (Hyperize), features the four NBA players/rappers rapping over a new beat that sounds like it may have possibly came via DJ Quik, who happens to make a cameo appearance in the Don’t Criticize video.

Nike SB August 2009 Apparel And Accessories Release
This is a pretty cool late summer release of apparels and accessories from Nike SB it is a fairly solid collection of tees, polos, and accessories in a more somber fall colorways of tan, olive and red. Some of the more interesting pieces that stand out are the preppy Lucky Unlucky Rugby and Lucky Dunk Socks which has a print of a pair of Dunks on the sock body, so it seems like the wearer is sporting shoes. I want a pair yo. The indian T is pretty sick I like the bow and arrow in the front pocket. The sweat shirt is cool too.

Fantastic Mr. Fox
FANTASTIC MR. FOX is visionary director Wes Anderson’s first animated film, utilizing classic handmade stop motion techniques to tell the story of the best selling children’s book by Roald Dahl (author of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and James and the Giant Peach). The film features the voices of George Clooney, Meryl Streep, Jason Schwartzman, Bill Murray, Wally Wolodarsky, Eric Anderson, Michael Gambon, Willem Dafoe, Owen Wilson, Jarvis Cocker Mr and Mrs Fox (Clooney and Streep) live an idyllic home life with their son Ash (Schwartzman) and visiting young nephew Kristopherson (Eric Anderson). But after 12 years, the bucolic existence proves too much for Mr Fox’s wild animal instincts. Soon he slips back into his old ways as a sneaky chicken thief and in doing so, endangers not only his beloved family, but the whole animal community. Trapped underground and with not enough food to go around, the animals band together to fight against the evil Farmers - Boggis, Bunce and Bean - who are determined to capture the audacious, fantastic Mr Fox at any cost. I think this could be a pretty good film fo sho.
