Song of the Day "Kool Aid & Frozen Pizza" Mac Miller
This week we start pre-production on our music videos. I really wanted to shoot a hip-hop artist for my video (preferable my friend Izrael). What can I say hip-hop is my passion and first musical love so its what I want to make. However, it's a group thing and i'm a group player. Anyways, I have been watching a bunch of music videos to get ideas for ours and I came across this one right here. Definitely a cool video, simple but looks great and keeps your attention. Plus this Mac Miller kid kills the track. Check it out...
I don’t even talk about it, I just do it!

Playlist For The Week: Sept 13th-17th
I tend to hear a song I like a lot for one reason or another and listen to it over and over again on repeat. I also tend to hit the shuffle button over and over again until I find exactly what I want to hear at that given moment. Recently I have been making short playlists for the week so I won't have to keep looking for a song I want to hear. When you really get to know me you know that my musical taste is all over the place but for the most part the music is similar...This week alot of the songs have the same feel and sound. Granted I have 8AM & 9AM classes so I usually am not trying to get too hyped that early in the morning. There is no specific order I always just hit shuffle...enjoy

Maestro Knows: Professor Wonder
They always say you should introduce yourself to your professor and talk to them in order to be successful in class. I would introduce myself to 9th right away! This is the type of college class I wish I could take...I would add extra time and semesters to my college career in order to take this class! In the first episode of season three of Maestro Knows he met 9th Wonder and talked to him about a class that he would began teaching at Duke. Well its been sometime since that episode and since Maestro has posted an episode, but here it is. 9th Wonder is a bad mother...it is so cool to hear him talk about the hip-hop and how it use to bring people to together. I still feel like today music helps me make friends, because ten to one if someone likes the same music as me then they are cool...9th using the MPC in class with the records and having the kids make beats and sampling is the coolest shit ever. Damn such a tight class.

Thoughts Of The Day: Back On The Grind
Its been awhile since I just posted some of my thoughts...so here we go. I have been back in GA for about three weeks now and I am not sure how I feel about it. I definitely see how much I truly liked living in California and that I do in fact miss it now that I'm back. I realize from the things we are learning about in my production class how much experience and knowledge I gained from my internship, which makes me feel even more grateful for the opportunity I was given this summer.
Anyways, I do know that even with my classes and school work things definitely seem like they are moving slower then they had been in Cali, well except time(it is always slipping away). These past three weeks have brought some stability and constants that I appreciate since I am a creature of habit. I get to cook again and go to the gym two things I really love and spend a lot of my time doing! My new apt is walking distance from campus and on the bus route so I have barley been driving lately. Which is a welcomed change after a summer of Los Angeles's infamous traffic, and driving across the country twice! (I love to walk, you really get to see things more detailed than when driving.) Today I noticed a bunch of leafs on the ground and realized Fall will be here before I know it. Another season(like I said earlier time is always slipping away.) Last Thursday I went to Terrapin with my homegirl Libby and my homeboy Drew and had a really good time. But I mean it is hard not to have a good time at Terrapin! They had a Jimi Hendrix cover band called Gimme Hendrix performing and they were amazing...dude was rocking bell-bottoms and had his fro picked out high, they sounded like Jimi and played a bunch of my favorite Jimi songs! Oh the beer tasted good too.."two for four switcheroo".
In other news I didn't get an email to buy football tickets so I ended up missing ticket sign up and don't have tickets for the season! I am pretty pissed about it. I am not even the biggest college football fan or UGA fan, but it is a big part of going to UGA that I like. I ended up being able to buy a regular ticket for the first game this Saturday which is cool since my parents are coming up for the game, but they are just playing Louisiana Lafayette so I am sure its going to be a lame game, but they are definitely going to feel that bulldawg bite! Anyways, the place where you go to pick up your tickets is the Vince Dooley athletic complex...if you are a big UGA fan you have to go check it out. There is all kinds of UGA stuff in there.

Feels Good To Be Home..Feels Good To Be Home
Damn I haven't seen this skyline since December! As soon as it came into sight a smile came across my face I love my city so much and am going to try to take advantage of it before I leave for Cali for the entire summer...the last couple of weeks have been pretty crazy...trying to finish up the semester, figure out where I am living in LA and everything else that goes into me leaving GA for two months to live all the way across the country! The closer it gets here the more and more excited I get about it! I can't wait to be in Cali, experience life and things that i've never been around and learn my craft and meet like minded people who have the same goals and aspirations. But at the same time I hope that I am able to spend these last two weeks in GA seeing all my friends and family as much as possible and enjoy the lil GA summer that I have because it'll all be missed to say the least!

The picture walls at the house on haunted hill its crazy I haven't been there since october...it was nice to be in my old stomping grounds even if just for a night and afternoon. Looking at the picture walls was bananas I never realized how many photos of me were on the walls and how many amazing times I had in KSAW. It truly was a home for three years and I had a great family there. MISS AND LOVE ALL MY KSAW AND TNC FAMILY. ONELOVE...

Head On
"Head On" is a special project commissioned by Steven Spielberg. Shot on RED. Animations and compositing completed in Adobe After Effects. Conceived and completed in only 10 days and its pretty amazing...It follows a boy who uses his imagination to connect with a girl on a NYC subway. It is shot so well I especially like the use of the beat box which mixes samples from two great songs A Wonderful World by Louis Armstrong and Let's Ride by Q-Tip so DOPE! After today's class and watching this I am so ready to start shorting my project next weekend! and hopefully acting in my friends won't be to hard...

Spring Break 2010 and the State of Things

This past week was spring break. It was really needed to say the least but of course it came and went to quickly...I went on a cruise with the Ksaw family it was soooo good to see all my friends. I didn't know how long it had been since I had seen a lot of my people. I realize now just how much I missed all of them. I always knew I missed them...moving away from my Ksaw family was very hard to do. Living here in Athens away from everything I really care about I realize how alone I am, I don't really have anyone to talk to about how I really feel you know. The friends I have here are new and I am def not comfortable talking to them about my personal affairs. I had some great conversations with my brothers over the break. I do know that moving away has helped with me and my brother Joseph "Stacks" Spada relationship which is a positive.
Its hard to start over...I've always said no regrets, and I don't regret anything that has happened in the last year but its hard to not think what if...what if this what if that. I try not to think about her but E is always in the back of my mind. Life gets hard sometimes...
Anyways I am back to reality...time to rock out the rest of the semester and figure out what I am going to do this summer! MAN It never stops!
