Scott Caan for The Hundreds:Recap plus Lake Bell T-Shirt

I'm so stoked I copped that Lake Bell Scott Caan Hundreds collaboration Tee today that I mentioned last week!  Here are a couple of videos the first is a nice interview piece with Scott Caan  done by High Snobiety in which he talks about the story behind the project/collection. The second is a basic event recap video of the pop-up store and gallery opening for the collection.

So if you recall I mentioned something about a music video that I Assistant Directed a couple of weeks ago...well here it is! Freestyle BMX

Saturday was a BEAutiful day, it was sunny in the 70’s and like most of Athens I was out in about. I ran into this guy on north campus and had to film him. All I had was my iPhone(3gs) on me so its not the best quality, but this dude is insane. I’ve seen him doing this at 7AM before, just going at it in a parking lot in 5 Points. Unbelievable!

Mmmm Lake Bell

My friend Tess gave me this last night while I was ADing a music video(with over 60 Extras, 10 PA's, and A band) to look at whenever I started to feel stressed. As you can see its a picture of Lake Bell with a word bubble saying she hearts me. What can I say I'm digging it...More details and footage from the music video are coming soon.

Epic Road Trip

Here it is Finally! My road trip video from this summer. LA-GA. It was epic to say the least and an amazing time with my brothers. We shot it with an HD Flip Cam which turned out surprisingly well, and then I edited it on Final Cut. Check it out and enjoy! OneLove

4250 Final Projects

Here are my two favorite final projects from my Production class I had this semester. The first video is the one my group did entitled "Promoted". The second is the one my friends David and Davis made entitled "A Ghost Story".  I loved my group, but I really wish I could've been a part of their group they made an amazing short.  Next semester its going down!

DJ Automatic Presents: Common - Theater of The Mind [MixTale]

I am truly grateful for projects like this one. As a HUGE fan of the art form that is music (wether it be Hip-Hop, Rock, or Reggae) I love to get to the roots behind it. There is no better place to learn about an artist or their work then from that actual artist. DJ Automatic has put together a series of releases that he calls MixTales, with the latest one featuring Common. If you are a fan of Hip-Hop or music in general you need to listen to Common, he is one of my favorite artist! I can always put on a Common track and have it evoke a different feeling in me---positivity or reminiscence or strength. Anyways, this is not a mixtape its a mixtale i'll let DJ Automatic explain: "While listening to the limited edition of Michael Jackson's Thriller album, which features interviews with some of the legendary people he had worked with over the years like Quincy Jones and Rod Temperton, DJ and music afficianado, Merritt Reiland aka DJ Automatic (Shadyville/Vinyl Pushers DJ's) I got the idea to make mixtapes with established artists that let them tell the story behind their career, catalog and inspirations, interspersed with blends of their music chronologically, and the MixTale was born...

Nike Air Max 1-A-Days By Matt Stevens

Matt Stevens is designing a pair of Nike Air Max 1 everyday for the next 265 days. I personally have fallen in love with the Air Max 1's and want as many different pairs of them as I can get my hands on. Taking inspiration from everything in life from cities to firearms, Stevens pairs his conceptual drawing with witty tag lines. Some can possibly be rendered into a pair of cool bespoke or customized kick, but some are more for the audience’s viewing pleasure– for instance, the Jason is simply a breakdown of the Air Max 1 into its architectural skeleton, and looks more like a cage than a wearable kick.

Head On

"Head On" is a special project commissioned by Steven Spielberg. Shot on RED. Animations and compositing completed in Adobe After Effects. Conceived and completed in only 10 days and its pretty amazing...It follows a boy who uses his imagination to connect with a girl on a NYC subway. It is shot so well I especially like the use of the beat box which mixes samples from two great songs A Wonderful World by Louis Armstrong and Let's Ride by Q-Tip so DOPE! After today's class and watching this I am so ready to start shorting my project next weekend! and hopefully acting in my friends won't be to hard...

The Shoe Game 3 Year Anniversary Event Recap

This is a lil late, but about a month ago TSG The Show Game held a three years anniversary party at the Nike Store in Lenox Square. I went to take pictures for a class project and just enjoy the event with the rest of the sneaker community. All in all it was a success...

BLAKROC

This project right here has me excited about new music again! BLAKROC is a combination of The Black Keys which I had heard of but never listened to until E introduced me to them and now I am a huge fan, and some of the most intelligent and profound hip hop artist in the game today like Mos Def, Q-Tip, RZA, and RAEKWON. Their first album dropped on Black Friday(how novel) and its dope a must listen for sure. I can't wait for more music from these cats...If they tour its going to be insane!

A Night of Photos + Music

I really want to go to this it looks like it would be pretty damn cool. It would be a great place to meet some connections and local Atlanta DJ’s while enjoying a night of music, photography, and drinks.
