Merry Christmas To All

Black Thought and The Roots show why they’re not only the best band in Late Night, but one of the most versatile crews out there with this performance of “The Christmas Song.”  Who knew Black Thought could sing that could.  I hope everyone is having a great Christmas!

Nike Stadiums: Nike 6.0 “Snowboard Trip”

In this video some of Nike’s 6.0 team, the crew head out from New York in the early morning, giving them time to pack, fuel-up and drive all the way up Killington Vt. and some of the best snowboarding in the country.  Which is perfect because all of the snowboarding gear that 6.0 is making right now looks like the best that you can buy!

Generic Surpuls: Work Boot

Generic Surplus is a company that I fully support and enjoy their products. The latest from the Generic Man spinoff Generic Surplus gives a light work boot inspiration to a high top sneaker. On the bottom, it combines a traditional sneaker midsole with some light traction lugs. And the upper has the obvious work but cut, helped out by triple-stitching and a raised-seam toebox construction. The Work Boot comes in two shades of suede, both following the design guidelines of the traditional workboot; there’s a standard tan suede, and a brighter, almost Nantucket Red colorway. As always, branding is minimal – just a tonal rubber tag at the heel a very clean shoe and company. Either are a good option for a Winter sneaker...

SNOW!

When I got out a class today it finally had started to Snow like they said it would. I love the snow and we rarely get it here in GA I guess that is really why I love it ya know. So I went about it and walked for two hours around campus and Downtown. By the time I got back to my car it had started to stick and look like snow. It would've been better to walk around once it had stuck everywhere but after two hours it had been long enough...now I am warming up with some tea listing to a little Coltrane....missing her by my side.

Junya Watanabe Carhartt Jacket Collaboration

Complete with details galore, this Carhartt jacket has been transformed by Junya Watanabe of Comme des Garcons, who has reworked a previous release. The jacket now features a woollen plaid section, camo interior, leather elbow patches and more. Available in either brown or black, this collaborative variation is thought to be limited to around 100 pieces. I am a big fan of customizing clothes. I wish I could have someone bespoke all of my stuff. Carhartt are great jackets I have a standard black Carhartt work jacket and its been through it all. I think I'd have to go for the brown one here.

Timberland Abington Spring 2010 Collection

Timberland is one of my favorite footware companies. They make quality goods that last a long time. I have had a pair of their hiking boots for years now and they have been all over. Last year I bought a pair of their Earthkeepers and they are F R E S H fresh! Super comfortable and they look so fly. As we all know boots are great for the winter time. Recently Timberland just released shots of its premium line for the season including the Abington Collection by Timberland. The Abington Collection is hailed as Timberland’s most elite line, which continues to draw influence from post-Industrial Revolution footwear and utilises the finest Horween leathers, making for extra reinforcement. The Abington Collection is inspired by turn-of-the-century farmers and factory workers as they progressed into city life. The line features a good use of premium C. F. Stead suedes from England across several styles, including two new models which accommodate Gore-Tex lining.

Now that I am back at school i've started to cook again, and here are some meals I made this week. On Monday I made my homemade Fettucini Alfredo with Scallops a simple but delicious dish, and last night I made my Turkey Chili which is always a little different but a great meal on a cold night...I know you want it!

Tis The Season

This time of the year is all about family. People get together with the members of their family like aunts and uncles and cousins and they are a family. When my family gets together its just my mom, dad and brother. I know its not the worst thing in the world I could have no family at all and be all alone ya know, but still I miss not having a big family that is close. There is only four of us and we really aren't that close I wouldn't say we are friends. Its sad. I wish we could be and am trying to work on making it that way.

The past couple of days it has been really good to see all my friends. Chill out by the bonfire pit and just talk. When it comes down to it they truly are my brothers and my family. Most of us have known each other for almost a decade now its crazy! They keep me sane and help me get by...I love all you guys!

Goodbyes

Final sunset at 197 Bridgewater. You could always get great sunsets out the front door of my place in Bridgewater. I don't really know how I feel about leaving, it never truly felt like home compared to the house on haunted hill. Never really got those vibes or have any amazing memories there. I am hoping my new place will help me immerse myself in Athens and find some kind of niche in a city and town that hasn't made me feel too at home in general.

Hoping for the best, prepared for the worst, sitting back trying to catch those cools vibes...

Matisyahu One Day Live on Letterman

I haven't really been in a blogging mood lately. I think you have to feel driven or inspired or care in order to really do and create or honestly even comment on others creations and things you might be into i.e. to BLOG.

Matisyahu one of my favorite musical artist of today, if not of all time, took a break from his eight night Festival of Lights concert experience in NYC during Chanukah to perform on Letterman. He played One Day a BEAutiful song...check it out!

OneLove to all my full and HALF Jewish brothers and sister.

Nike Magma AC QS - Gum Med Brown

Nike once again adds a vulcanized sole to an iconic and classic shoe. The Nike Magma was one of the first shoes to come out of the Nike ACG line back in the late 1980’s and early 1990’s and now Nike has fused it together with a vulcanized Blazer outsole while keeping the colorway of the shoe similar to that of the original Nike Air Magma. They are suppose to hit NIke Sportswear retailers in the next couple of weeks. I think they look fresh for the upcoming winter months.
