God's Eye View(Film Montage)

This type of shot is commonly referred to as a "God's Eye View" angle. The camera lens is perpendicular to the subject without any POV reference, which gives the viewer an omniscient viewpoint of the character and the surrounding space. This video is incredible! There are some really great films in here!

Marvel’s The Avengers Film Trailer

Marvel has just released the teaser trailer for the highly-anticipated The Avengers film, one that combines the powers of Iron Man, The Hulk, Thor, Black Widow, Hawkeye and Captain America. Here is the official synopsis from Marvel: “When an unexpected enemy emerges that threatens global safety and security, Nick Fury, Director of the international peacekeeping agency known as S.H.I.E.L.D., finds himself in need of a team to pull the world back from the brink of disaster. Spanning the globe, a daring recruitment effort begins. Starring Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner and Samuel L. Jackson, and directed by Joss Whedon, Marvel’s The Avengers is based on the ever-popular Marvel comic book series “The Avengers,” first published in 1963 and a comics institution ever since.” The Avengers officially releases in theaters May 4, 2012.

2011 Nike MAG: The Full Story

The Saga continues! Sneaker enthusiasts and fans of the 1989 movie Back to the Future II had to wait almost 23 years for their Nike MAG to drop. After all the video and event hype, an extensive behind the scenes video is presented here. Several of the personalities involved in the whole project go on the record from both Nike and Back to the Future’s teams including Tinker Hatfield and Mark Parker. The Nike MAG has now obviously been made available for collectors through eBay but this video hopefully answers any questions many might have regarding the process behind the greatest shoes never made.  I wish I had stacks in order to get a pair of these.  The bids on ebay were 10,000 and upward!

Back For the Future: MAG 2011 Nike

Me and my brother were talking about these today. I use to work for Nike selling shoes years ago and have always had a love for Nike. During my childhood Back to The Future was me and my brother's favorite movies! I told my brother ever since I can remember these have been in my Lexicon for what Nike shoes are! So excited just wish I had the scratch to bid on them.

Marty McFly's Closet

Following endless speculation about this week’s “secret” event going down in Los Angeles, Nike gives us an official teaser into the return of the Nike MAG, of course made popular by the Back to the Future film franchise. No further details are available but could this mean that the almighty Marty McFly petition finally worked its magic? Stay tuned for further news shortly.

Watch the Throne Documentary

Thursday night I had the pleasure to go to the Kid Cudi show for free.  It was a great show don't get me wrong but I said this months ago when I found out where he venue was at and it turned out to be true.  Cudi played at a big outside amphitheater.  To me hip-hop should be in small venues so you can be up close and personal and truly feel the artist.  With the exception to a couple of artist including Yezzy & Jay-Z!  So with just days away from the the long-awaited album, Jay-Z and Kanye offer up a mini-documentary revealing some of inner-workings during the creation process of Watch The Throne. If you have 10 minutes to set aside, you can check out how some of it all went down. Shit is really cool they have some of the best b-roll mixed in it is wild.  I like that during the dinner scene at the begging when Ye gives Jay his gift you can hear Mayer Hawthorne playing in the background. Watch the Throne is set to release on August 1, 2011 digitally and August 5, 2011 physically.  This is going to be an incredible birthday gift!

Before the Sunset

I've watched this movie twice in the past two weeks. I really have been enjoying movies that are dialogue heavy recently or maybe just movies in Paris(Midnight in Paris).  Anyways I had never seen this sequel, only the original Before the Sunrise and I have to say I really enjoyed it.  I feel like I have had many conversations similar to the ones in this film.  Here is a scene with one of my favorites.

The Dark Knight Rises Teaser Trailer

The first web trailer for Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight Rises was made public today. Although a bit short, this initial web release is surely just a teaser of the full theatrical trailer. Look for the film to officially launch on July 20, 2012.

Mission Impossible 4:Ghost Protocol Trailer

Man I really do love this movie franchise.  It has gone through many different phases and styles and I still think each one holds its own.  Maybe I am just a fan because my name is Ethan who knows...Either way Helmed by Brad Bird (director of cult children’s classic The Iron Giant one of my favorite animated films), the Mission Impossible franchise is back with more beautiful women, deadly explosions, international intrigue and high-design supercars than ever before. This time around, Tom Cruise’s Ethan Hunt character finds himself deep undercover as a “ghost protocol” agent posing as a terrorist. Supported by Jeremy Renner (of The Hurt Locker fame), Ving Rhames and Josh Holloway (aka Sawyer from Lost), Cruise is still jumping off skyscrapers and engaging multiple bad guys in hand-to-hand combat, all without managing to get his tux dirty. Written by J.J. Abrams, the release of Mission Impossible 4: Ghost Protocol‘s trailer is certainly an exciting development for fans of action blockbusters.

I have to say this looks like one of the best sports movies I have seen in awhile. Not to mention it has one of my favorite actors Brad Pitt in it as well as Jonah Hill!

Beats Rhymes & Life: The Travels of a Tribe Called Quest Film Trailer

Tribe is by far one of my favorite musical groups of all time. I can always put on a Tribe song and feel happy!  I am really excited about seeing this!

The trailer outlines the story of how the Tribe met, their unexpected rise to fame, their influence on future generations of rappers and their eventual dramatic unraveling due to a feud between lyricists Q-Tip and Phife Dawg. Scheduled for release on July 8th, Beats Rhymes & Life is sure to be a must-see for anyone who calls themselves a fan of modern hip-hop.

I was really bummed when the ATL show sold out so fast last year, but hey this movie will just have to make up for it I guess. Conan is a total G he shouldn't have shaved his beard though...

Beastie Boys – Fight for Your Right (Revisited)

On the heels of their star studded video for “Make Some Noise” comes the visual for Beastie Boys’s “Fight For Your Right Revisited.” Similar to the music video, this 30-minute short film is packed with prominent cameo appearances from the likes of Elijah Wood, Danny McBride, Seth Rogen, Susan Sarandon, Stanley Tucci, Rashida Jones and many more. Beastie Boys – "Make Some Noise" Music Video

Today The Beastie Boys  previewed exclusively through MTV, the video for “Make Some Noise”,  the first single (and video) from the highly anticipated album, Hot Sauce Committee, Part 2. Elijah Wood, Danny McBride, and Seth Rogen are The Beastie Boys in this hilarious video.  It also features cameos by Ted Danson, Chloe Sevigny, Steve Buscemi, Jason Schwartzman, Rashida Jones, Rainn Wilson and the very funny Will Ferrell . Hot Sauce Committee, Part 2 will be available for purchase on May 3rd.
