New Era: Behind the Rivarly with John Krasinski and Alec Baldwin

New Era’s ongoing “Rivalry” made-for-web video series involving Josh Krasinski and Alec Baldwin talks with the two actors about their relationship. Each having their own allegiances to their respective hometown teams of the Yankees and the Red Sox, the behind-the-scenes examines their own approach to dealing with the ups and downs of their teams.  I love this campaign!  Working on stuff like this would be so awesome!

Carhartt 2010 Fall/Winter Lookbook

I had no idea that Carhartt had anything to do with streetwear until a few months ago. I have always liked them as a brand. I use to have a sweet black Duck Detroit Jacket that was blanket lined by them that I wore all the time. It would keep me so warm when I worked at the tree farm. Its cool to see them branching into a style of clothing I love now that I am older. Here is a look at their Fall 2010 seasonal lookbook. Offered are various staples, including plaids, sweaters, jackets, knits, denim, and headwear, all following a classic look that not only caters to streetwear but just about every other style in between. Of course its extremely expensive and hard to find...

Song of the Day "Hey Young World" Slick Rick

A couple of weeks ago I had posted Nas's version of this song that he recored for Levi's Pioneer Sessions. But now it's time for the real McCoy. As a youth I was introduced to Slick Rick when he put out a recored with the O.G. ATLiens Outkast. I soon became a big fan of his sound and style...he is an original kind of artist, and isn't that the best kind. Anyways...I love this song and have been listening to it since I got off work at 6! Whether you love hip-hop or not it has a great message. It's not like I have lots of money or I use to sell drugs now I sell records...its about being positive and doing something with you life! OneLove

Last night I went to the Dodgers game and guess who they were playing...THE BRAVES! It was a really cool experience I don't know if I've ever been a fan of the away team at a game before...The Braves ended up losing but it was still a good game and a great time! I am def going to try to go to more games...

The State of things...

It has only been summer for a couple of weeks now and I feel like I haven't sat still very much. It is best for me to always be in a constant state of motion. I like having things to do and doing things you know. Recently I have gone to a Braves game, moved all my stuff to my place I am living next year, i've gone shopping for summer threads for Cali, went to temple with my mom, and recently I went to KSAW to chill with the FAMILIA. While in KSAW I went and ate at El Nopalito with my homegirl Haley. El Nop is amazing family owned and ran from the Grandfather to the grandson and the service and food are above and beyond! I also finally got to see Iron Man 2 last night and it was dope!

Anyways...I got some really nice new threads for CALI. Day one of shopping I went to Lenox and got a new fedora with a small brim, a pair of khaki colored pants that feel like light weight jeans, two pairs of cheap sunglasses(because I lost my Nike's Kayaking) one pair looks like wayfarers and one pair like 70's aviators, a new Braves 59/50 to rep my city, a Nike ATL T-shirt to rep my city, and probably my favorite purchase these Generic Surplus Chukkas. I have been wanting a pair of chukkas for awhile and these were on sale and dope. They work well with both pants and shorts so they are great for summertime. The next day of shopping was at the J. Crew outlet after I went and visited my people at Nike. There I copped a skinny black tie, a couple of button up shirts, a pair of grey shorts, a striped v-neck and the new Jaspe Jersey v-neck. Just new clothes goofin'...trying to look fresh in Cali ya dig...

Here are some of the photos my Dad and I took with his Nikon on mothers day and my brothers wedding. I have some experience taking pictures of gardens considering I did an entire project on it fall semester. I really liked all the glass work by Chihuly through out the gardens and took a lot of pics.
