An Inaccurate Look at the Making of a Native Fitzsimmons

In one of the more clever ad spots in recent memory, Native presents An Inaccurate Look at the Making of a Fitzsimmons, a Wes Anderson-esque imagining of what goes into shoe manufacturing. The result is a whimsical interpretation, where buried treasure is unearthed, bananas are found and mythical shoes are created. The Native team deserves a ton of credit for thinking outside of the box on this one. Check it out.

Back For the Future: MAG 2011 Nike

Me and my brother were talking about these today. I use to work for Nike selling shoes years ago and have always had a love for Nike. During my childhood Back to The Future was me and my brother's favorite movies! I told my brother ever since I can remember these have been in my Lexicon for what Nike shoes are! So excited just wish I had the scratch to bid on them.

How to Make It in America Season 2 Trailer

Possible my favorite show on TV, HBO’s How to Make It in America, recently unveiled its trailer for its upcoming season 2. For those unfamiliar, the show focuses on the hustling lives of Ben Epstein and Cam Calderon who are eager to make their break into the cutthroat New York fashion scene. The show’s ability to infiltrate and focus on certain niche elements were among the defining points of comedic drama which also features appearances from Kid Cudi and skater Javier Nunez and none other than my celebrity Love Lake Bell. The trailer also includes Theophilus Monk‘s new single, “I STAND ALONE.”

Song of the Day BIg Sean "I Do It"

I've been on Big Sean since day one. But at the moment it is safe to say that hee is starting to really blow up(if you follow hip-hop closely). He has a lot of features on big acts and has been dropping a bunch of free music. The way I see it, his first album is about to drop so I am sure he is just getting his marketing scheme down. Anyways, from time to time I question some of his choices and even him as a MC. But then he goes and puts out a track like this. I am sure if you have been watching the NBA post season then you have seen the Derrick Rose commercial that has this song in the background. Why not it has a nice beat, but the verses are fresh to death as well! Also I have to say I dig Big Sean's marketing because he makes fresh videos. They are always a simple concepts with pretty simple special FX that make the videos look incredible!

New Era: Behind the Rivarly with John Krasinski and Alec Baldwin

New Era’s ongoing “Rivalry” made-for-web video series involving Josh Krasinski and Alec Baldwin talks with the two actors about their relationship. Each having their own allegiances to their respective hometown teams of the Yankees and the Red Sox, the behind-the-scenes examines their own approach to dealing with the ups and downs of their teams.  I love this campaign!  Working on stuff like this would be so awesome!

New Era "One Hitter" Commercial

These are such awesome commercials, I am really loving them being in black and white.  In a follow-up to the original commercial, The Trash Talking Begins, Yankees fan Alec Baldwin shows up to John Krasinski’s apartment to physically show his displeasure. Stemming from Baldwin’s perceived loss to the Krasinki’s Red Sox (despite him leaving during the 6th inning), the spot ends with a wad of cash over the fallen Krasinski. But after the recent sweep of the Yankees by the Red Sox, it looks like Krasinski and all of the rest of us Red Sox fans get the last laugh!

Ray-Bans Never Hide “Tomatina”

Ray-Bans latest campaign for “Never Hide” is aptly titled Tomatina as the Valencian town of Buñol is the backdrop for the yearly tomato festival. The short story features some amazing cinematics as the ZCDC crew who filmed the piece get down and dirty amongst locals in the saucy affair.  I don't much this really advertises Ray-Ban's but I have to say I like it a lot...

Best Parts of the Superbowl

Due to that fact that I hated both teams in the Superbowl definitely had me questioning if I was going to like watching it at all.  For the most part the commercials even disappointed( some of my favorites included , Eminem's Chrysler 200, The Darth Vader Volkswagon, & The Captain America Spot)

There is nothing like Good Music to take a decent idea to the next level. The song in this Sealy spot destroyed it for me.  I downloaded it right away!

I have been waiting on a more in depth look at Super 8 for awhile now!  All I can say is this is what cinema is all about!  Produced by the godfather himself Spielberg and directed by one of the new innovators in the game JJ Abrams.   I really can't wait to see this... incredible shots!

Nike Frees "Free Yourself" Ad

I had an idea for a Nike Free commercial like this a couple years ago.  Except everything was shot at shoe level so you could see the Free's were able to do a bunch of different things.  This is a really cool commercial but at times people are definitely not wear Frees(the people roller skating, or playing football)...
