I don't know much about Dove for men body wash but this commercial is amazing. It is done so well. I love how they go through a mans life the things you should do and how you should act being a man...I think its great. Every shot is done so well with amazing detail for a commercial...it looks like one hell of a life.

Song of the day "Highs and Lows" by Kid Cudi
Probably a month ago now I heard this song and right away I loved it. Even before Cudi says a single word and that Lay Lady Lay sample hit my ear. At a young age i'd say my musical taste was a lot different then others. Having an older brother just gives you that kind of information...maybe even before my time. When my brother got on Bob Dylan about 10 years ago I was only 12 but his music was great. From Knockin' on Heavens Door to Lay Lady Lay and from Hurricane to Shelter From The Storm I was hooked. I even got a chance to see him live. Now a days you wouldn't guess that I am a Dylan fan. I never really listen to him at all, but I am a fan. This song came around at a time in which I can totally relate with what Cudi is saying.
I was high
When I first had the taste of love
I was high
When I left the city I was from
And I was low
When I had a recent heartbreak
I was low
Cause I truly thought I had a mate
I was low
When I lost her over silliness
I was low
Cause she twisted what my words meant
But I was high
When I finally had the chance to see
Everything that's pretty ain't always good for me
I was high
When she first said I like you
Man I must be too high to even write, dude
And these things show you growth
Some niggas show a little
But I'll show you the most
Highs and lows
and succeed for sho
The only thing left to do is say a toast
Cause...
I be high
Then I be low
I be low
Then I be high
It's like a battle knife to a gun fight
But I be cool
This the story of my life

Hey You Know You Look Like Edward Cullen!?
Ever since the Twilight movies have came out all I hear is "hey you look like that guy from Twilight" or "you know you look like Edward Cullen". I personally don't see it but I guess if there is any resemblance than its how I wear my hair..too bad I started wearing my hair like this 10 years ago after guys like James Dean and Elvis. But seriously I don't know how many times i've been told I look like him...for example last night when I went DT I was told it by countless people and then tonight I went to a screening of a documentary about deaf entertainers and an old deaf lady said to me..."you know you look like that guy from those movies, you know which ones I mean Twilight..." So damn even old ladies think it. Don't get me wrong I am not complaining I mean if girls think that Robert Pattinson is hot then i'll take being told I look like him I guess.

Salmon And Pesto Ravioli
Last night I made my Salmon and Pesto Ravioli. Its pretty simple to make and really not as expansive as one might think. The salmon was $4.20 something for a big piece...I personally used Buitoni brand ravioli which is a little pricey for pasta but you could easily use a much cheaper kind. This is such a delicious meal.

More Than a Game: Review
My homeboy Drew told me this movie was dope so last night I watched it and you know what its the truth. If you are a fan of Lebron or just basketball in general than you need to watch it! Personally I am a big fan of both Lebron and basketball. I also love documentaries especially ones about sports. Its crazy to see Lebron go from a child to a man...hes been balling since 10... straight dunking on people! The filmmakers did a great job with old still photos making them move and seem like video. Check it out..
Song of the day "You've Got The Love I Need Remix" by Florence and The Machine
I found this song on the How To Make It In America Mixtape as it shuffled on my iphone a couple weeks ago when I was walking home from class. I like it alot it has a good beat and its a duet and I am a sucker for a duet. The lyrics are really good, I use to have what its talking about..I felt like I could understand its feeling you know fully appreciate it, but not anymore its gone...all in all the song is still dope.

Song of the day "Maybe So, Maybe No" by Mayer Hawthorne
My homegirl Anna told me about Mayer Hawthorne the other day so I checked him out and the music is dope. She described it as Al Green but more hip-hop and he's white! This video is cool looks like he just filmed it himself...low key low budget very nice! Plus it makes Cali look so badass I want to live there right now and I want it to be hot and summer time sooo bad!

We On Some Hip-Hop One Year Anniversary!
Today is the one year anniversary of me starting this blog. Sometimes I don't know why I started it I guess looking back on it I realized that I check out a lot of blogs online and just thought it would be cool to have my own...to share my thoughts and things that I like...I mean its way cooler than FB right!
Overall I am not really sure how people feel about my blog... if they like it or if anyone really looks at it at all. I didn't start it to get recognition from anyone or anything like that, when it comes down to it its for me and thats that. I have heard from some of my good friends like my boy Luke Tilt that my blog is cool so thats whats up.
God so much has changed this past year since I started my blog! I live in a new town I'm making new friends and just trying to get by! There are so many things that i'd like to be different at this moment, but like they always say hindsight is 20/20 and I guess it truly is, you don't know what you've got till its gone and so on and so forth. I am hoping for the best in the next year. A new decade is upon us the last one went out on a bad note but I am ready for the best and the worst so lets GO!
OneLove!

Grand Bay/ Valdosta
This weekend I made the trip down the Valdosta to chill with my brothers. God I needed it so much! My boys Luke, Jmeg, Chatz, and Tray are all family for real. When we see each other shit just clicks man. Luke knows what I'm talking about with that "Superfly".
I have been going through a lot recently, to say the least things have definitely been way better then they are right now. This weekend really helped me feel some happiness and normalcy if even just for a couple of days. We made the trip over to Grand Bay and it was so cool to be out in nature. Things are so different down in Valdosta its crazy how a 4 hour drive can change the weather and scenery so much it feels like vacation every time I go down there.
Luke In Action I got some good video of the skate sesh as well!

Song of the day "Lost One" by Lauryn Hill
I've been bumping this song for the past week or so and its sooo good. I wish Lauryn Hill would make new music!
And some don't know what they have 'til it's gone
Now even when you're gone you can still be reborn
And, from the night can arrive the sweet dawn
Now, some might listen and some might shun
And some may think that they've reached perfection
If you look closely you'll see what you've become
Cause you might win some but you just lost one
You might win some but you just lost one
You might win some but you just lost one
You might win some but you just lost one
You might win some but you just lost one
You might win some but you really lost one
You just lost one, it's so silly how come
When it's all done did you really gain from
What you done done, it's so silly how come
You just lost one

Review: How To Make It In America
Its official How To Make It In America is going to be a great show. I mean it was hard for it not to be...young cats trying to make it NYC dealing with self doubt heart break and trying to get that dream all while bumping hip-hop and other good music and wearing fresh gear. With Entourage on its way out its good to know we have another great show on its way in!
The music on the show is super fresh starting with the title song (FYI the type for the titles is so nice as well)..."I Need A Dollar" by Aloe Blacc. Kid Cudi and Dj Green Lantern host the shows Mixtape.

Song of the day "One Day Cover Matisyahu" by PS22 Choir
I came across this today and its amazing! The public school 22 choir has been involved with a lot of important things including performing with Stevie Nicks, Common, and recording on Passion Pits hit new album. But this cover of "One Day" by my homeboy Matisyahu is official dope! It'd be really cool to see them perform this together. A must watch...these kids are great! Made my day fo sho...
sometimes I lay
under the moon
and thank God I'm breathing
then I pray
don't take me soon
cause I am here for a reason
sometimes in my tears I drown
but I never let it get me down
so when negativity surrounds
I know some day it'll all turn around

Converse Chuck Taylor Sweatshirt
Converse has put a new spin on their most iconic silhouette, the Chuck Taylor All-Star Hi, by using a sweatshirt fleece on the upper of the shoe and lining it with a fleece lining to give the shoe more comfort and protection. Converse’s signature White with Red toecap is still prevalent on this pair of Chuck’s. I'd def pick up a pair of these if I had the extra green laying around.
SNOW!
When I got out a class today it finally had started to Snow like they said it would. I love the snow and we rarely get it here in GA I guess that is really why I love it ya know. So I went about it and walked for two hours around campus and Downtown. By the time I got back to my car it had started to stick and look like snow. It would've been better to walk around once it had stuck everywhere but after two hours it had been long enough...now I am warming up with some tea listing to a little Coltrane....missing her by my side.
Nike Human Chain
Pretty cool technique... I wonder how long it took for them to shoot and edit this.

Song of The Day: "Whatever You Want" Consequence feat Kanye West & John Legend
This is a great song...and the video is funny. It looks like Kanye and them just took a camera and filmed themselves having a good time. The head spinning dance by the ladies is great too!
Okay, GOOD MUSIC has arrived
You and your girls can finally get live
I'ma need you to turn the lights down
Whatever gon happen gon happen right now
Do whatever you want
Whatever you want
Baby let me get the number to your blackberry curve
So I can buy you everything that you deserve
I ain't gotta front mama that's my word
With that kinda ass I might spaz like NERD
And buy whatever you want
Whatever you want
Now I need you to leave home any inhibitions
I promise you, won't be any intermissions
Wassup with your home girl, I'm so persistent
We need an assistant, I'm just kidding
Whatever you want
Whatever you want
The number one team is back it ain't fair
And if you feel the same, raise you glass in the air
Just like the pack Jordans that come with the wack pair
Y'all really don't want it and we're making that clear
So do whatever you want
Put you hands in the air
Wave them around like you just don't care
And once you're done with that, keep your hands up high
If you're with your girls let me see you get live
And whatever you want
Hey girl, we gon live it up tonight
Hey girl, welcome to the Grammy life
Hey girl, you know how this goes
if you all, centerfolds,is all I know
Whatever you want
Now when everybody way too aggressive
I'ma be the one to cool to even stress
Even though I bought dresses, breasts, Benz's, Lexus

Whatever you want

Song of The Day: "Daughters" John Mayer
I watched a John Mayer Storytellers this morning and it was cool to hear him talk about his songs, why he wrote them and what not. John Mayer is one of the last true musicians left, he plays and writes his own songs. I've always liked this song I know exactly what he is saying in the first verse...
I know a girl
She puts the color inside of my world
But she's just like a maze
Where all of the walls are continually changed
And I've done all I can
To stand on her steps with my heart in my hands
Now I'm starting to see
Maybe it's got nothing to do with me
Fathers, be good to your daughters
Daughters will love like you do
Girls become lovers who turn into mothers
So mothers, be good to your daughters too
She puts the color inside of my world
But she's just like a maze
Where all of the walls are continually changed
And I've done all I can
To stand on her steps with my heart in my hands
Now I'm starting to see
Maybe it's got nothing to do with me

How To Make It In America
Once again HBO has a new show that I am very excited about..."How to Make It in America." The show is produced by Mark Wahlberg and Stephen Levinson of "Entourage" so you know its going to be good! The show def looks like the life I'd like to live ya dig!"How to Make It in America" follows two enterprising Brooklyn twenty somethings as they hustle their way through New York City, determined to achieve the American Dream. Trying to make a name for themselves in New York's competitive fashion scene, Ben Epstein (Greenberg) and his friend and business partner Cam Calderon (Rasuk) use their street knowledge and connections to bring their ambitions to fruition. With the help of Cam's cousin Rene (Guzman), who is trying to market his own high-energy drink, and their well-connected friend Domingo ("Kid Cudi"), the entrepreneurs set out to make it big, encountering obstacles along the way that will require all their ingenuity to overcome.
"How to Make It in America" also stars the very sexy Lake Bell as Ben's ex-girlfriend Rachel, who is concentrating on her own career and a new relationship.

Martha Plimpton ("Beautiful Girls," "200 Cigarettes") as Rachel's boss Edie, an eccentric interior designer; Shannyn Sossamon ("40 Days and 40 Nights," "The Holiday") as Gingy, Ben and Cam's artsy friend; and Eddie Kaye Thomas ("Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist," "American Pie") as David Kaplan, a successful hedge fund manager and high school friend of Ben's.

Junya Watanabe Carhartt Jacket Collaboration
Complete with details galore, this Carhartt jacket has been transformed by Junya Watanabe of Comme des Garcons, who has reworked a previous release. The jacket now features a woollen plaid section, camo interior, leather elbow patches and more. Available in either brown or black, this collaborative variation is thought to be limited to around 100 pieces. I am a big fan of customizing clothes. I wish I could have someone bespoke all of my stuff. Carhartt are great jackets I have a standard black Carhartt work jacket and its been through it all. I think I'd have to go for the brown one here.
