A History of Rap: Jimmy Fallon, Justin Timberlake & The Roots
First I just want to say that Jimmy Fallon and Justin Timberlake are too cool mother fuckers! Second The Roots are the hardest working band in Hip-Hop if not all music! It's amazing how they go from song to song seamless. They show you that you can do soo many hip-hop songs as live music and it still sound amazing. They could back so many artist, but they would have to let BlackThought get some verse in there as well. I wish that they would've done Award Tour a little bit longer... I also don't like how everyone freaks out about Jay-Z at the end...and the Souja Boy shouldn't be in there.
Aloe Blacc at adidas Originals The Do Over
If you like good music and want to support it, than I suggest you go out and buy Aloe Blacc's new album Good Things. I have been listening to it pretty much none stop and I love it. Some of you may recognize his single I Need A Dollar from HBO’s hit series, “How to Make It in America”, one of my favorite new shows on TV. He has the makings of our generation’s voice of soul, here he is performing at adidas Originals’ The Do Over party. Check it out...

Maestro Knows - Episode 9 (Tyrone Davis)
Its raining here in GA and this episode couldn't have came at a better time...For those of you who don't know I spent my summer interning for the production company Wild Plum based in Venice. As much as I am enjoying the rainy weather right now I truly miss California! Its so amazing to see Maestro go to Tacos Por Favor in Santa Monica. It was one of my favorite joints this summer. Its really just crazy to see Maestro in places that I have walked and been before you know. I definitely can't wait to be back in sunny Los Angeles! Such a great city full of so many possibilities. Keep up the good work Maestro...OneLove
Song Of The Day "4 Chords of the Apocalypse" Julian Casablancas
I hear it in your silence, when you don't speak
What was funny then, isn't funny anymore
I can hear it in your voice, there's always a catch
We're going nowhere, and we're going there fast.
Anything to watch while we are waiting for this Apocalypse.
What more is there to do?
It's nice to be important, but so close to being despised
It's more important to be nice, I guess, than being wise.
I'll take your shoppin', I'll take you dancing too
I'll take you out, all the things you want to do
I'll give you diamonds, and I'll give you space
So be with anyone you want, it's alright with me.
Our time is over
Don't you know that if a time-warp was open
I'd stay right in my place
That war is over.
I hear it in your silence, when you don't speak
There is a quiet crying rage, burning inside you so deep
I'll give you anything, but I'll give you problems
So be with anyone you want, it's alright with me.
I hear it in your voice, can see it in your lips
There's always a catch... I guess that's alright with me
No one's around, but the map says "you are here"
Now I can hear loneliness screaming in my ear.
