While Bob Marley’s classic and universally likable music has stood the test of time since his death in 1981, his family and others close to him have seldom opened up about his personal influence as a father or the atmosphere in Jamaica during his ascent to global fame. Now, Academy Award-winning director Kevin Macdonald wishes to tell this rarely illuminated story with Marley, which is set to premiere at the Berlin Film Festival and SXSW in March. It will be appearing in theaters as well as video-on-demand
on April 20.

Nike: 12 Miles North – The Nick Gabaldon Story Official Trailer
Nick Gabaldon was a pioneer in American surf history as the first African American to challenge the California waves and bitter societal segregation of the early 1950s. His determination to challenge those boundaries and pursue the sport he’d quickly grown to love, drove him to paddle 12 miles north, along the coast to Malibu to surf. It was ultimately the place of his tragic and unexpected passing, but it was in his passion and pursuit of a dream that forever cemented his legacy in surfing lore. Nike Surfing will celebrate Nick’s memory by telling his story, in 12 Miles North – The Nick Gabaldon Story.
If I had a million dollars: Gourmet: “Icons & Derelicts” Video
Gourmet Films Presents "Icons & Derelicts" Part 1 from Gourmet Footwear on Vimeo.
CEO of Icon, Johnathan Ward, gives us his overview of the drive behind his simple, yet obsessively detailed design philosophy. ICON automobiles are handcrafted in Los Angeles making use of all domestic suppliers – an element that creates an elevated but justified price point. Ward designed and built the first three pre-production prototypes for the Toyota FJ Cruiser, but went on to create a line of automobiles built on a basis of simplicity with each using only one computer to control engine efficiency – everything else is analog. ICON’s throwback style is beefed up with a ridiculous attention to aesthetic and utilitarian detail. The automobile’s sport panels are inspired by Bell & Ross , and TGIC polymer-based toughlan polyester coats that are approximately ten times more durable than stock paint. ICONs are built and priced upon ordering, and generally take six to eight months to complete.
