Timberland Abington Spring 2010 Collection

Timberland is one of my favorite footware companies. They make quality goods that last a long time. I have had a pair of their hiking boots for years now and they have been all over. Last year I bought a pair of their Earthkeepers and they are F R E S H fresh! Super comfortable and they look so fly. As we all know boots are great for the winter time. Recently Timberland just released shots of its premium line for the season including the Abington Collection by Timberland. The Abington Collection is hailed as Timberland’s most elite line, which continues to draw influence from post-Industrial Revolution footwear and utilises the finest Horween leathers, making for extra reinforcement. The Abington Collection is inspired by turn-of-the-century farmers and factory workers as they progressed into city life. The line features a good use of premium C. F. Stead suedes from England across several styles, including two new models which accommodate Gore-Tex lining.

Possiable Bonnaroo Lineup 2010

"It's that time of the year again, when all my Bonnaroo brethren are anxiously awaiting for the official lineup to be announced. The Roo crew usually release the lineup the first week of February, so it's only natural that the rumors and leaky lineups pick up super steam the week or two before the real deal drops. Is the below list completely accurate? I'm not sure. That all depends on how well you trust "hackers", "message board gurus", and the "hip insiders". I can say, from multiple Bonnaroo experiences, it's really rare for a band to be signed up for the festival in back-to-back years.. making this particular lineup somewhat believable."

Cheetahs play with little Impala

Photographer Michel Denis-Huot captured these amazing pictures on safari in Kenya's Masai Mara in October last year. They are amazing shots its crazy to see acts of affection like this in nature...when it comes down to it we are all animals and to see these guys acting with a sense of love and compassion is just amazing!

Song of The Day: "Two Can Win" J Dilla

J Dilla was one of the greatest...innovative and original with a sound and ear for music and producing that only comes around once and a while. I personally love this track off of donuts. It is great all by itself I must say I jam out to it all the time. Although it would be cool to hear someone put a verse to it like common or Mos Def as well.

Wish Warehouse sale 2K10

Song of The Day: "Struggla" Matisyahu

Open up the gate
Let my prayer rise up
And I struggle every day just to get myself up
For the force of gravity that keeps sinking my ship
Time again one is bound to slip
We rip through these days
We flip through the age
Survive stay alive we won't trip in the haze
Lost in the maze
I know it's just a phase
But I dread it dread it dread it
I won't let my life go to waste
I'm a struggla

Rise and never fall cause I been through it all

So ask yourself and think twice
Would you want to live your life

Oh we pay the cost
The pain and all the loss

Nike Sportswear’s Spring 2010 Collection has started to come out already and the collection continues to offer premium Nike Sportswear pieces. Some of the items I am digging on include these aerial city landscape T-shirts, plaid button down, and standard NSW T-shirt in new colorways.

Nike Kill Bill Pack

Kill Bill is one of my favorite movie series ever made. They are some of Tarantino's best work and infact it is rumored that he is going to make third film. I guess Nike isn't to off putting out this Kill Bill Pack, which consists of a Nike Big Nike High and Nike Auto Flight High. Both shoes feature colorways inspired by the movie; yellow to match Uma Thurman’s character’s outfit, red to match all the blood, etc. The Big Nike High rocks a black metallic silver-varsity maize colorway, while the other sports varsity red varsity red-white-speed yellow. Also, the insoles feature the kill list for a nice touch. I'd cop the Auto Flight Highs for sure.

Nike SB LOST Edition

Nike SB released two LOST inspired shoes as quickstrike releases for January. The Oceanic Airlines Dunk and the DHARMA Initiative Blazers. If you are a fan of the show like me then I know you can't wait for FEB and the final season to start! It is going to be crazy to say the least I hope it ends well and the series goes out on a good note. As for these shoes the Blazers are def my favorite!

Song of The Day: "Million Dollars" Big Sean

I thought this was a really good song when I heard it about a year ago. But this video makes it so much better, it seems real gritty to me. I like how its real not just about throwing money around slamin cadillac doors or pimpin hoes. Big Sean message is that everyone has a dream whatever it is to make lots of money or to fly into outerspace.

Adidas Star Wars Collection

If you know me then you know that normally I am a loyal Nike man. I rep Nike gear daily and truly believe they are the best! However in this case I will make an exception because I love Star Wars and this is a great video as well. Adidas has been promoting their Star Wars Collection for a while now. If you check out the shoes I really don't think they are that fresh and they don't even give a good close up of them in this at all but its a cool ad.

The Shoe Game 3 Year Anniversary Event Recap

This is a lil late, but about a month ago TSG The Show Game held a three years anniversary party at the Nike Store in Lenox Square. I went to take pictures for a class project and just enjoy the event with the rest of the sneaker community. All in all it was a success...

HERE is the Link to my project and more photos enjoy!

Spring Break 2010!

Just booked a cruise to the Bahamas for Spring Break with the KSAW Family! Its going to be "EPIC" or at least that is the choice of words Kev Kev and others have said. We've got almost 16 people going so its bound to be out control! I've never been on a cruise but i've been told multiple times by my parents that I was conceived on one.... Anyways I am pumped to say the least our newly renovated ship is going to Nassau and Half Moon Cay two places that i've never been and always wanted to go! I love going to new spots...53 days SB10!

Cooking

Now that I am back at school i've started to cook again, and here are some meals I made this week. On Monday I made my homemade Fettucini Alfredo with Scallops a simple but delicious dish, and last night I made my Turkey Chili which is always a little different but a great meal on a cold night...I know you want it!

Parkour Motion Reel

Amazing is really all I can say...

Song of The Day: "History" Mos Def Feat Talib Kweli

This is one of my favorite cuts off of Mos Def's latest album The Ecstatic. I have a specific memory of this song: I was in NYC over the summer and went to John Forte album release party at this amazing underground bar it was a sick spot. I had walked up to the bar to get a drink and standing right next to me was Talib Kweli himself. It was tight to say the least. The DJ didn't miss a beat and put on this track...a great moment in my life.

MK 13 Dropping at Standard

The T-shirt is pretty dope...I don't think I am going to be able to come through and cop it though. Maybe if I still lived in Ksaw or class didn't start until Monday.

Song of The Day: "First of The Month" Bone Thugs-N-Harmony

This song is always great for the 1st day of any month but it seems especially great for January! Its a new year and hopefully it will bring good things...to me i've always thought of years starting by the school year just like the 1st day of the week to me is monday to me not sunday.

Anyways once again I had an insane New Years Eve! I ended up getting hammer slammered and black out drunk. What I can remember of last night is crazy and the stuff I have been told I did and can kind of remember is insane. For example I walked into the middle of the street in DT up to a random car, not a taxi, knocked on the window and asked this older couple that had just drove back from the Wide Spread Panic concert to give me and five other people a ride home and they did it! Apparently I almost got hit by a car as well...At the time everything seemed like a great idea but it has official been a rough day for me I still feel very very very hung over!

Talib Kweli and Hi-Tek are back with the RE:Union mixtape, mixed by Statik Selektah.

Big Boi Feat. Gucci Mane "Shine Blockas"

Outkast’s Big Boi has been rumored to be releasing a solo album for a couple of years now and it looks like it will finally be released this year. While the release date is still pending the album will be titled, Sir Luscious Left Foot: The Son of Chico Dusty. The Atlanta MC recently shot an impromptu video for his song, “Shine Blockas”. Songs pretty dope...

Song of The Day: "The Lengths" The Black Keys

The Black Keys have became one of my favorite bands. They make me excited about new music that is not Hip Hop sorry...Hip Hop is still my first love. I grew up listening to every kind of music under the sun and I've been told recently that all I listen to is Hip Hop and I guess lately I have departed from really anything but Hip Hop. But recently I guess i've realized I need to look back, forward and further to find other forms of music to listen to and enjoy. I like to think of myself as pretty well rounded and I need to start to truly be that way. Like Sam Cooke said A Change is Gonna Come.

Anyways...

I always thought this was a BEAutiful song ever since the first time I heard it driving back home from CT last summer. Every part of it the music the words and how he sings touches my soul right now! I can really feel what he is getting across down to my core every word is so true...

Tell me where you're goin or
what is going wrong
I felt you leavin before
you'd even gone
and hold me now
or never ever hold me again
no more talk
can take me from this pain I'm in pain i'm in

See the moonlight shinin on
your window pane
see it leave you as
faithful as it came
please yourself so you
don't have to be afraid
make amends
or carry on another way another way

tell me what you were thinkin
to treat somebody so
the care he took the
lengths to which he'd go
coals are hot to walk
across without your shoes
but in the end
know that you got nothin to lose nothin to lose

Tis The Season

This time of the year is all about family. People get together with the members of their family like aunts and uncles and cousins and they are a family. When my family gets together its just my mom, dad and brother. I know its not the worst thing in the world I could have no family at all and be all alone ya know, but still I miss not having a big family that is close. There is only four of us and we really aren't that close I wouldn't say we are friends. Its sad. I wish we could be and am trying to work on making it that way.

The past couple of days it has been really good to see all my friends. Chill out by the bonfire pit and just talk. When it comes down to it they truly are my brothers and my family. Most of us have known each other for almost a decade now its crazy! They keep me sane and help me get by...I love all you guys!

Goodbyes

Final sunset at 197 Bridgewater. You could always get great sunsets out the front door of my place in Bridgewater. I don't really know how I feel about leaving, it never truly felt like home compared to the house on haunted hill. Never really got those vibes or have any amazing memories there. I am hoping my new place will help me immerse myself in Athens and find some kind of niche in a city and town that hasn't made me feel too at home in general.

Hoping for the best, prepared for the worst, sitting back trying to catch those cools vibes...

Distant Relatives Album Cover

This right here is another music project that I have been highly anticipating besides BLAKROC. Distant Relatives, is the album that Nasir Jones (NAS) and Damian Marley have been working on together. It is not scheduled to be released until March of 2010 but the album cover which features images of both Nas and Damian Marley has already been leaked. This collaboration is going to be so dope!

Straight Out The Box Wit It...

There is nothing like a nice day of consumerism to lift your spirits when you are down! Today I went up to Lenox mall in the A to pick up some fresh gear at the Nike Store for me and Christmas presents for the people in my life that I care about! Not only were these bad boys just put on sale for $50 less but I got 40% off that! I also copped a sweet ACG Nike rain jacket and a couple of nice sweaters and a pair of gloves from Banana Republic. All in all I'd say it was a success I got me some sweet digs and I think all the gifts I got others they will enjoy too...
