Exit Through The Gift Shop

Last week I started cutting out my first stencil and I am stoked to start putting it up! I am also stoked about this movie. Banksy is crazy his art is at the top of its game. He is probably the best street artist out there.

Nike 21 Mercer Opening Day Stickball Tournament

This past Sunday the Nike Sportswear flagship store in NYC located at 21 Mercer held a stickball tournament. Nas & Damian Marley Part 1

In part 1 of this interview series Nas & Damian Marley talk about the Distant Relatives collaboration which hits stores May 18th, the overall aesthetic of the album, health care, and Barack Obama after completing one year in office. I really wish that they didn't talk about Obama or politics rich and famous peoples view points are always a little bit different than the average man. I want to hear about the music not their personal view points ya dig. All in all I can't wait to cop this album!

Aloe Blacc – I Need A Dollar (How To Make It In America Theme) | Video

This video is directed by Kahlil Joseph and it is pretty dope. The split screen effect has been blowing up big over the past year and I really think it shows up at its best here. This is one of the best theme songs i've ever heard. I loved it from the first time I heard it and bump it almost daily. "Aloe Blacc has been working towards getting some love for his smooth soul tracks like the show’s theme. “I Need a Dollar” opens each episode, and it’s heavy piano and horn chops paint the setting of a dreary New York quite well." Amazing check it out...

Timex Camper Watch

Like most things once I get started its hard for me to stop. I just got my new watch the other day and I love it but of course I want more! I am a big fan of oversized watches, the new oversize camper from Timex is dope. The watch features all the essential details in an everyday watch and pairs them with a classic military styling, which is very popular right now. Features include Indiglo dials, interchangeable bands, and a wider resin case. Retail is set at $50, with a release expected in July 2010. Birthday present maybe!

There's No Place Like Home

This past weekend was probably one of the best times I've had back at home in a really long time. Saturday I went to my homegirl Audrey's house for a party and got to see all of my friends, some I hadn't seen in a very long time and it was so good to see them! Recently I've been doing a lot of soul searching just questioning my self worth, and you know what, I am full of self worth! I have drive and ambition and I get things done and have my life together. My parents are doing a lot of work on our house its crazy. When I pulled into the drive way I was shocked to find a giant dumpster! Sunday I felt like doing some work so I put my muscles to real work not just lifting weights... I cleaned up the yard throwing all kinds of junk into the dumpster and then raked the entire back yard! If you've ever been to my house then you know its surround by trees and there have been leafs covering the ground for years like 4 feet high leaf piles! It felt good to do work and be out in the weather things just smelt like home if you know what I mean! My brother also came home with out his fiancee for the first time in a while and it was good just to chill with him. We hit up a new trail down by south river and found a rope swing that will be dope in a couple of weeks.

Bob Marley Art

On Good Friday after a successful week I hit the town to tie on a buzz and celebrate! This badass matted print was on the wall at Highwire and its only 80 bucks! This is an amazing piece of art. It's tall which is cool can cover the whole wall ya dig. Bob is the man a true legend just listening to his music can put a smile on my face(at least most of the songs right now). Its the type of thing you can hang in your house as an adult you know not just a poster from Juckman's... oh and Highwire was dope too they make all their drinks by hand like squeezing a grapefruit to make grapefruit juice. I had an Old #3 which was amazing, its bourbon ginger ale and lemon twist. Bourbon has become my drink of choice at the moment. I really liked the Old #3 the ginger ale was strong it had that bite to it which is delicious!

The Roots: "Dilla Joints" Tribute Mixtape

Song of the day "Window Seat" by Erykah Badu feat ?uestlove

I downloaded this song about a month or so ago its finally starting to be released wide due to the fact that Miss Badu's album drops on Tuesday! I have missed her music for awhile now its real soulful and funky. I can relate to this song right now as well which is always good when listening to new music. Plus ?uestlove did the drums so you know its legit!

You know a little GREEN TEA for my Erykah Badu chicks!

I need u to want me
Need you to miss me
I need your attention
I need you next me
I need someone to clap for me
I need your direction
Somebody say come back
Come back baby come back
I want u to need me
Come back come back baby come back
Come back come back baby come back
Come back come back baby come back
So, in my mind i’m tusslin’
Back and forth ‘tween here and hustlin’
I don’t wanna time travel no mo

This is the actual video that came out yesterday for the song its pretty strange but I mean its in par with Miss Badu...and she takes off her clothes its trip.

They Just Don't Make Em Like They Us To...

This weekend is the 6th Annual Robert Osborne Classic Film Festival here in Athens. I volunteered at the festival last night when they were showing Butch Cassidy and The Sundance Kid...a great movie. The experience of watching these classic movies the way they were suppose to be seen in all their Cinema Scope glory is soooo amazing! Last night I got to watch the movie from the top balcony it was incredible to say the least. I realized they really don't make movies like they use to. Maybe because most actors aren't badasses like these two guys. Robert Redford is a total OG with impeccable style and outlook on life and celebrity. He has dedicated his life to the preservation of nature and all its wonders! A couple years ago I did a speech about him and I learned lot about all the work he has done to help our planet. Total G!

Head On

"Head On" is a special project commissioned by Steven Spielberg. Shot on RED. Animations and compositing completed in Adobe After Effects. Conceived and completed in only 10 days and its pretty amazing...It follows a boy who uses his imagination to connect with a girl on a NYC subway. It is shot so well I especially like the use of the beat box which mixes samples from two great songs A Wonderful World by Louis Armstrong and Let's Ride by Q-Tip so DOPE! After today's class and watching this I am so ready to start shorting my project next weekend! and hopefully acting in my friends won't be to hard...

Song of the day "Soundtrack 2 My Life" by Kid Cudi

This is one of my favorite songs from Kid Cudi he is one of the best artiest out right now fo sho...This video just dropped today and its pretty cool just following him around on tour you know the day to day livin

I got 99 problems and they all bitches
Wish i was jigga man
Care free livin.

My hearts an open sore that i hope heals soon
I live in a cocoon opposite of cancun
Where it is never sunny the dark side of the moon
So its moving right i try to shed some light on the man
Not many people of this planet understand.

Haters shake my hand but i keep the sanitizer on deck
Hope i really get to see thirty
Wanna settle down stop being so flirty
Most of the clean faces be the most dirty

I've got some issues that nobody can see
And all of these emotions are pourin' outta me
I bring them to the light for you
It's only right
This is the soundtrack to my life
The soundtrack to my life

The Heads of State Travel Posters Series

Design collective THE HEADS of STATE release a new series of travel posters. Taking iconic elements from across the United States, the represented cities include the beaches of Miami, New York’s Statue of Liberty, the Space Needle in Seattle, the Golden Gate Bridge and the Washington Monument in Washington D.C. among other cities/monuments. Nostalgically-reproduced, the contrasted prints are available through THE HEADS of STATE online store for $30 a pop. If you've ever been in my room then you know that I am poster and art crazy! I don't think there is a inch free to even out a new poster anywhere. I've had to put things on the ROOF ya dig. Theses are totally my style I wish there was an ATL one though, I guess I'd get NYC, Chicago or Miami...
