Finally after its creation in 2005 Nike 6.0 will release a Women’s collection which is designed to be a performance collection that is fashion driven.
For this collection, Nike consulted the Nike 6.0 team members, surfer Ellery Hollingsworth, Carissa Moore and Monyca Bryne-Wickey, and had their 6.0 ladies work closely with the designers on the collection. The line is designed to be taken from court to streets, and from day to night. It is casual enough to be thrown on without much effort, but can also be styled up if the athlete is heading out at night. Some of the pieces previewed here from the upcoming line include a vintage PYT Crew Sweatshirt done in a faded blue dye with a boat neck; the Luxe Layer Tank with a racer back and contrast blue chest pocket, my favorite part the Nike Balsa Mid which is previewed here in a muted grey with gum soles and a strap across the front. The military style jacket hoody combo is very nice as well.
The collection is set to launch during the best month of the year..July alongside a documentary on the Nike 6.0 surf team.
