Dan Auerbach and Patrick Carney, known collectively as The Black Keys, are re-teaming with Damon Dash for Blakroc 2. The first project was lauded for the easy nature in which the mixed bag of participants collaborated, never once feeling like an awkward ambassadorship. Emcees slated to appear over the Akron duo’s muddy sound are Talib Kweli, Jay Electronica, OC, Wiz Khalifa, Jim Jones, U-God, Sean Price, Curren$y and The Cool Kids. The line up is definitely not as good as the first Blakroc but will see how it goes. While no release has been set, here’s hoping that the recording process was documented like their highly acclaimed first project. For those of you waiting for the next full-length album from the Keys, they’ve already finished their Danger Mouse produced follow up to Brothers.
